Over the last year or so I have been using several of the deep conditioners from the Novex hair care line. I gave a review of one of heir deep conditioners on my blog before and I have a few more reviews that I plan on doing in the future. Since I gushed on how much I liked their products, the company actually sent me some more products to review! I was over the moon!

Actually Its my belated transition anniversary! I am currently almost 14 months post and I took these when I was 12! I forgot about it and then I just never got around to posting it.
I have been struggling to keep my relaxed ends and I had just given up on the idea that I was going to be a transitioning unicorn and retain all of my length. Out of laziness, I kept wearing my hair in a wet bun. This led to matting and tangles mainly in the center of my hair. It became so bad that I just said screw it and went to a new Dominican salon that just opened up near by.

I have been so busy with final projects and trying to get an internship I have totally neglected my blog! I have plenty of content already It is just a matter of typing and editing it all. Please excuse my absence! I just need some more time to get back into the swing of things. I will try to post something this week though!
Have a wonderful day!

Should professional hair products only be used by professionals?
It seems like such a silly question at first glance it almost immediately invokes a "uhhhh DUHHHH" response! Why shouldn't a professional be entitled to products only for them?! The reality is that many regular women use professional products with no qualifications at all (my self included!). Why is it that regular people want to have access to products that are only reserved for stylists? Why is it that regular people just cant bring their big lazy butts down to a salon where they can get it done RIGHT? It took me a while to think about the most accurate and politically correct way of saying this. Instead, I decided to say it as directly as possible.

When starting out my blog I contacted a few companies about their products. One of the first to respond was Mirta de Perales. They were so lovely to send me a complete box of one of their keratin hair line and even a letter wishing me success with my blog! Right off the bat their customer service was great and to top it off their products were actually great as well!

| Old hair in need of a wash |
To avoid using direct heat back to back I like to rollerset as a low heat option. I am able to get a straight look without using heat on the delicate ends on my hair.In addition I prefer the bounce and body I get with a rollerset compared to blowdrying and flat ironing. So far, in my transition they have really been helping me stay away from the blowdryer and flat iron while staying fly! Here is the method that has been working for me.

Hey everyone I am really busy studying for my midterms! Organic chemistry is no joke! I need to take a little break from posting to make sure I get good grades. When I'm done I will have plenty of stuff in store which includes more product reviews, articles and even some new youtube videos! Stay tuned!!!!

If you have not heard of her, Reniece is pretty much the unofficial Queen of Hair care. She is a licensed beautician who not only transforms the hair of others but has transformed her own as well. She has shared her journey from growing her relaxed hair long and then growing her natural hair to her waist. She is an inspiration not just lengthwise but style wise as well.

At the beginning of my transition back to natural, I was interested in trying out different products for the times when I do not wear my hair straightened. I was doing my routine window shopping at the beauty supply store and I saw these cute brightly colored products. I had never seen them before but before buying I decided to look on the internet about them. I found pretty much nothing and on top of that, the official website was defunct.(it sadly still is) So I decided to just try them out for myself!

Welcome!
Hello there! Thanks for visiting my little corner of the Internet!
This site is targeted towards women who want to go natural or stay natural while keeping their hair straightened.
It is also meant for women who want to go natural but are not ready for the shock of going from straight locks to a kinky look.
Whether it be by a flat iron, pressing comb, keratin treatment, rollerset or just a blowdryer, naturals have plenty of options that do not necessarily mean wearing an afro 24/7.
I just want to offer another viewpoint on enjoying your natural hair!
