Alter Ego Spherique

Alter Ego Spherique
Alter Ego has been around for quite some time. their products have been know to be of great quality and excellence. I have heard nothing but glowing reviews about their products such as the Linage relaxer, Garlic Hot Oil treatment and the Hasty Shine Spray. I actually had my hair texturized with the texturizer and my scalp did not burn at all. It was a very comfortable experience. So I as was on my usual prowl for new keratin products I was just excited when i found out that they came out with a new keratin treatment line. The line is called Spherique and it has 4 main products. The smoothing process has 3 steps called “rituals” and the last product is a deep conditioner.

Ritual 1-Replenishment cleanser
The first ritual, The Replenishment Cleanser, is the classic shampoo that starts off most keratin treatments.
Description: It carries out a gentle cleansing action and helps promote the bio-transference of the active principles in the Kcp Complex (Keratin, Creatine, Panthenol), to activate the reconstructing process.

Ritual 2-Bio Restructuring Serum
The next product in the process is the Bio Restructuring Serum. This is where this line differs from traditional treatments.Instead of being flat ironed in it is left on for 5 minutes and then rinsed off.
Description: Keratin fluid, special molecular composition instantly penetrates within the hair shaft to repair even the most damaged structures, by transferring the balanced mix of reinforcing and rebuilding molecules. Its extremely acid pH captures the strengthening substances within the cuticle, without any dispersion.

Ritual 3-Concentre Cream
The last step is the Concentre cream. Similarly to the reconstructing serum it is washed out after being in contact with the hair for 15 minutes.
Description:Its rich formula, with its Kcp Complex base (Keratin, Creatine, Panthenol) and its balanced pH, fully restores the lipidic cement creating cohesion between the cuticle and the cortex. It leaves the hair fiber compact, and its wrapping action seals the hair structure to reach extraordinary strength.
The last product is the Ethnique Intensive Mask. It is a treatment that I used for an intense conditioning, presumably after the treatment.
Description: For thick, dry and over stressed hair. Its innovative formula with its Kcp Complex base (Keratin, Creatine, Panthenol), carries out deep hydrating action, repairs the hair structure and leaves hair incredibly silky soft .
In case a visual is needed for the application process here is an instructional video.(sorry no english!) They also have a Spherique Pro line (english) as well. In addition to that, they also have trial at home sizes. What I also like about this line is that the product are actually an affordable price. A liter of each bottle runs about $40. Although they are technically supposed to be only sold to professionals, you can find some of these products online.
What I don’t understand is how this product works with the product being washed out?! This makes me feel like it might be a relaxer but judging on the the ingredients I do not see anything that might be a permanent relaxing agent. So I actually went to the company to try and find out what does the product actually do to the hair. It was hard getting an answer because I am not a licensed beautician. The best answer I got was that it works from the inside out to give strength to the hair.
It makes a great low heat keratin option to those who want the keratin smoothing effect but do not wish to risk heat damage. Unfortunately the effectiveness and permanence of this product is still unknown. It is fairly new and so far I have not seen any reviews. I definitely look forward to trying a few of these products in the future!
What do you think about this type of keratin treatment?
