Coppola Keratin Infusion
I decided to try the Coppola keratin infusion once I ditched traditional formaldehyde treatments. I still wanted to wear my hair straight and yearned for the silky results of a keratin treatment. This products was recommended by a hair forum member as being a great product. In fact, it seemed to be as good as a keratin treatment! The keratin infusion was safe to use, came in a stylish little pump bottle and was made by a company known for its very popular keratin treatment. I decided to give it a test drive of my own. It wasn’t cheap but I was able to snag it at a fair price online.

Cute bottle!
Ingredients : Water, Cationic Guar Gum, Cetereal Alcohol, Cyclodimethicone-Dimethicone, Dow Corning, 2078 Fluid, Keratin Protein complex extract, glycerine, glyceral monococoate, soy protein oil, wheat protein, Aminopropyl phenyl trimethicone, Arnica extract, scent.
There was nothing that indicated it could straighten the hair as good as a regular keratin treatment but I decided to give it a go anyways.
As cute as the bubble gum pink cream was and as great as it smelled, it just did not work! My hair got straight but it did not have the level of smoothness and sleekness I was looking for. I did not get that much shine either. I’d say the results were average at best. To make things worse my roots reverted overnight! No bueno!

So so results

Strangely my hair couldn’t hold a curl either

In the bun it went!
To top it all off, once I rinsed it out there was no decrease in frizz, reduction in curl or difference in texture. It was just my same ol’ curly mop. What a disappointment! I quickly assessed this was something I wasn’t going to use again so I ended up selling it. In retrospect I think I may have had too much hope for this product judging by its ingredients. Even so, I thought it would have been good to keep my hair straight but it just did not deliver.
