I need a new dryer!

I have had my beloved Select Pro Gold soft bonnet dryer for a little over a year. I use it pretty frequently about once a week and at times even more. I purchased this dryer because it was supposedly the best soft bonnet dryer on the market. So it was really disappointing to see if not last the test of time! We have been through good and bad but my little dryer has finally gotten on its last legs.

The first thing to come off was the attachment where the hose connected to the hood. This was not too big of a deal because i could stick it in the hood and it would still stay in while my hair dried. This worked well for a while until the piece that attached the hose to the connector also came off.

I thought I could get away with just sticking them back together like before. But once the air started to flow the connectors would pop right out leaving me with a deflated hood and and even more deflated sense of satisfaction.

After looking at some reviews I noticed that some mentioned this happening. They recommended using tape to fix the problem. So I pulled out my packing tape and went to work.

It was an absolute FAIL.

The hose still pop out after a certain amount of time! So now I need to keep putting it back in every few minutes during a drying or deep conditioning session.

Ain’t nobody got time for that!

To make things worse I ended up dropping it recently so now it’s cracked and the top came completely off. I tried to tape it up again but it looks very ghetto and it doesn’t stay on very well.

So now I am looking for a new dryer that can last longer and will also dry my hair faster. It currently takes about an hour and a half to get my hair completely dry. I would like something that can get it done in 1 hour or less. I hope that’s not wishful thinking!

I am going to take my time to thoroughly research the next dryer I get to make sure I get my moneys worth!
