Pre sectioning rollers for a faster set

If you are struggling with how long your rollersets are taking or having difficulty parting the hair after washing, then pre-sectioning my be for you! Ever since learning this little tip, rollersets are much more easy to do! Start off on dry hair by sectioning the “mohoawk” parting in the middle of your hair. then section this into 2 parts. Then take each side and section them off. For more ease after washing, I would suggest to section each side into two as well. Then wash your hair in the sections you have created. It also helps if you...

Maxius Sonic Glide Review

A few months ago I purchased a new Maxius Sonic Glide Flat iron. I was really excited to try a new flat iron because my old faithful Bablyliss nano titanium iron had started to snag my hair. This iron seemed really cool because it was an improvement to the old maxiglide iron with sonic technology. With all of the good reviews from the maxiglide I thought this would be my new favorite flat iron. The iron itself was a bit thicker than i was expecting. since I had never used the maxiglide i could only imagine how huge and...

Coil method for the Big Chop

Many people seem to have difficulty when it comes to the day when its time to do the Big Chop. depending on how processed the hair is it can be really hard to tell where the line of demarcation is. At the same time I wanted to be able to keep as much length as possible. Because of this dillema I created a method of big chopping that helps me to keep maximum length when doing the big chop. I’ve done it before and this time I took some pics! It is really simple to do! First cover your...

Its a 10 + keratin leave in conditioner

Because of my obsession with products containing keratin, I have been on a search for the best keratin containing leave ins. The original It’s a 10 leave in has been a major hit for many women around the world. With the addition of keratin, I thought this may be “the one”. As it turns out, it wasn’t. So I just chalked it up as a learning experience. The packaging is very sleek yet playful due to the color combination. I was surprised just how small the bottle was. This stuff does pack a punch but even so it is...

5 tools to get straighter flat iron results

One of the most basic techniques to get straighter hair when flat ironing is to chase your flat iron with a fine comb. Doing this separates the hair and yields a straighter result. There are a few tools on the market that build upon this idea and can help get the hair straighter, when a fine toothed comb just isn’t enough. Soft Boar Bristle Brush This isn’t marketed specifically as a straightening tool but I found it to be very effective at doing so. Because the brush allows more smoothing and tension on a section of hair the end...

Qod Max Organiq

A few months ago I had tried the Qod Max Organiq Keratin Treatment. I was impressed then but I wasn’t ready to give a review because I wanted to see how my hair would act over time. After doing a few treatments with this product I feel ok about giving my verdict to the public. I shared a bottle with some one else because one liter is a whole lot of product. So I cant really comment on the packaging. The product itself is a tan-pink cream and has a fresh scent. Here is my bottle of product. Very...

Curl settling after BC with Ultrasonic Iron

I thought it was interesting just to see how much my hair has transformed within a few days of my big chop. As you can see it took a few days for my curl pattern to kind of sort itself out. The ultrasonic treatment really helped to hasten the process and it also helped with reducing frizz which is great. It is a little time consuming but it doesn’t take much longer than a regular DC with heat. I love how strong my hair feels and I barely have any breakage since I ditched the relaxed ends. I am...

Alfaparf Semi Di Lino Dimante Essential Oil

Alfaparf is an Italian line and pretty much considered the “Rolls Royce” of hair care. I wanted to try some more salon and luxury products so I decided to try using one of Alfaparf’s well touted leave in vials. I just had to test for myself if the products were worth the hype! The essential oil comes in a small glass vial and one is enough for a whole head. It is a deep blue liquid and has a very strong perfume scent. Even though it is called “essential oil”, it is not oily at all but has more...
