Adventures with my new diffuser!
Since I am in a winter wash n go challenge I began looking for ways to dry my hair faster so I wont get sick from wet hair during the winter. My soft bonnet was not cuttin’ it. It was giving me weird, smushed wash n goes that looked like they belonged in a horror movie. So I decided to spend my coins on a cheap diffuser from the beauty supply store. The brand of diffuser I bought is Diane, it was only about 6 dollars or so. Its not fancy but I figured it would get the job...
Dont look past the ampules and vials!
Time and time again when I would go to the beauty supply store I would pass the little glass vials near the register. I never knew what they were for and since they were so small i thought they were insignificant. As it turns out, they have been game changers for me and my hair care! I would have never discovered the secret world of hair ampules had my curiosity not taken the better of me! Regular consumers buying salon products
Should professional hair products only be used by professionals? It seems like such a silly question at first glance it almost immediately invokes a “uhhhh DUHHHH” response! The process: Hair is washed with a clarifying shampoo several times to strip the hair and open the cuticles. this is done to allow the best penetration of the keratin treatment. After hair has been washed it is then dried and then...
Why sectioning your hair is important
I always section my hair in four parts, whether it be for detangling, washing, styling or whatever. When I was fully rexlaxed, I was able to get away with washing in 2 sections. I thought since my hair has been so compliant, it would be ok to try to cut corners in my regimen. Boy, did I get a wakeup call! I shampooed my hair with a sulfate free shampoo in 2 large sections. Also I made sure to be as thorough as it was all said and done, my hair looked and felt clean. I thought: “Hey...
Relaxer Regret
Many people ask the question: Do you regret relaxing your hair? My short answer is: “No”. My long answer is: “No, not #8221; You may wonder how can that be true since I am once again transitioning back to “natural” hair. That can easily be explained, but first you might need to get familiar with the reasons on why I relaxed in the first place. I liked my natural curls but i found that most styles heat free style did not have any longevity. I could do a set of twists and by day 3 they would look a...
