Curl settling after BC with Ultrasonic Iron
I thought it was interesting just to see how much my hair has transformed within a few days of my big chop. As you can see it took a few days for my curl pattern to kind of sort itself out. The ultrasonic treatment really helped to hasten the process and it also helped with reducing frizz which is great. It is a little time consuming but it doesn’t take much longer than a regular DC with heat. I love how strong my hair feels and I barely have any breakage since I ditched the relaxed ends. I am...
The Ultrasonic Challenge
Up until now I have had what I think to be a good regimen. It was low heat, kept my hair stretched and had relatively low manipulation outside of washday. Even so, I still have to battle against the breakage that ruins my hemline and gives an overall thinner look to my hair. Serial protective styling gives me similar issues and causes matting and knots even when I am very careful. After wearing a wet bun for a week recently, the center of my hair has snapped right off at the newgrowth. Up until then my hair was fairly...
My new ultrasonic infrared iron!
A few weeks ago I received my infrared ultrasonic iron in the mail. I ordered directly from the manufacturer and because of this I was able to buy one at a fraction of the regular price. Since it was a sample order (the manufacturer usually ships in bulk) it is plain and has the generic “ultra and infra” on the LCD screen. Otherwise, it still has all of the functions that the brand name ones do plus it has adjustable settings! If you don’t know about this iron, check out my previous post about Ultrasonic Infrared Irons. So far...
Ultrasonic Infrared irons….ingenious or gimmick?
While doing some research I came across this new hair care technology. Manufacturers have combined the power of ultrasonic frequencies with infrared light. This creates a new product that is heatless yet deeply conditions the hair better than anything before. The ultrasonic vibrations coupled with the infrared light causes water molecules to speed up and vaporize. This allows whatever is in a conditioning or keratin treatment to effectively get into the hair shaft. Here is a list of qualities these irons seem to have in common: Do not straighten Repair hair for shinier, smoother, and thicker results Helps the...
