So far I have not had any crazy problems with smoothing or keratin treatments. My hair has not broken off or evacuated my scalp unlike many of the keratin horror stories on the internet. Because of this I still think they are a viable alternative to relaxers and a benefit to people looking for a little more manageability. However, I am going to take a break from them for quite some time …

Right now I would like to address my audience who does not want to use these kind of treatments. They are not necessary and one can have healthy straightened hair with out the aid of these treatments. I haven’t done a treatment since December 2012 and will probably not do another one for quite some time. I would like to prove to my readers that there are plenty of other options in the world of straightened natural hair.

Even so, I will still talk in depth about these treatments and give my advice and research findings on what I avoided. This is what I believe to have helped me to have success with smoothing and keratin treatments. Also, I will be talking about keratin in regular hair products and why it is beneficial to a straight haired naturals regimen. Stay tuned!

I hope you all don’t mind my slight change of focus!
(although I am kicking my self right now over the name of my blog … ce la vie!)

What do you think about the change?

Thanks for reading! <3
